Salvatore “Sal” J. Pumo Jr. of Norristown passed away peacefully on Friday June 25th. He was 68 years old. Born in Norristown on May 1, 1953 and was the son of the late Salvatore G. and Louise (Angelucci) Pumo.
Sal and his late wife, Darlene Pumo, owned and operated Russell Lauren Hair Designers. Prior to his career at the hair salon, he worked for the United States Postal Service. Sal is survived by his sister and primary care giver; Beverly (Gerald) Cantrell, his brother; John (Mary Louise) Pumo, his niece and also a caregiver; Mickey Harkins, his children: Salvatore (Megan) Pumo and Tracee Lauren Pumo, and 2 grandchildren. Sal was loved by his many nieces, nephews, childhood friends, and all of his Russell Lauren clients.
He enjoyed dancing, working in his business doing hair, riding his motor cycle, and Sunday breakfast with the guys. He was always the life of the party. Sal was a member of Holy Saviour and St. Paul Catholic Churches.
Burial will be private.
