Sakinah Crump Obituary

Sakinah Bernice-Diane “KINAH” Crump was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend born May 19, 1981 to Paula Joseph and the late Richard Crump. She was the third born of seven children, listed as follows, Hashim, Lakesha (Kesha), Sakinah (Kinah), Richard (Rah), Sharifah (BooBoo), Kameelah (Nudy), and Latifah (Tifah). Sakinah departed this life on November 1st, 2021 at the age of 40.

Sakinah “Kinah” Crump was a native of Philadelphia, PA and later Norristown, PA. She received an education in the Norristown area school district and earned her GED, and continued her education at Montgomery county community college. She chose to pursue a degree in psychology as she had a passion to help and understand others.

Throughout Kinah’s life she worked in childcare, She worked as an after school youth counselor because she loved to work with kids and she was great with them. Kinah also worked as a personal care assistant with a long term patient known as “Joe” Kinah loved this job and Joe eventually became like family to her. Overall Kinah enjoyed spending her time working to help and make others happy. During her life Sakinah “Kinah” was also a part of the church. She was A member of ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church. Kinah loved going to church and praising GOD. Kinah prayed to and loved our LORD and savior JESUS CHRIST.

As a child she did drill team and played double dutch. Growing up Kinah spent a lot of time with her siblings and lifelong best friends Missy and Shamar. Kinah was very loving of her friends and family and held everyone close to her heart. She loved to dance, Kinah would dance at any event on any occasion and everyone knew this about her. She also loved makeup, jewelry, hair and other cosmetic things that expressed her femininity. Kinah loved doing arts and crafts because she had a very creative soul. She loved sharing art with her family and expressing herself through the art she made and she taught her nieces and nephews to do this as well. Lastly, Kinah LOVED music. She loved all kinds of music and loved to share music with everyone around her.

Sakinah had no children of her own but she was a mother at heart. She loved all the children in her life as if they were her own. Kinah loved spending time with her family over all. She loved family gatherings, birthday parties, cookouts, and more as long as she could have a good time with her family and friends. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and a bright aura that could be felt by anybody in the same room as her. Kinah’s nieces and nephews looked up to her and her family adored her. And no matter what happened she always met you with a warm smile and asked “You still mad?” followed by “I LOVE YOU”. Sakinah leaves to cherish her memory: Mother, Paula Joseph; Six siblings, Hashim Joseph (Marcella), Lakesha Joseph, Richard R. Crump, Sharifah Crump, Kameelah Crump (Gregory), and Latifah Crump; Sixteen nieces and nephews, Tiana, A’brea, Ajanah, Jasmine, Likine S., Kweli, Amia, Richard Wright-Crump, Shimaar, Kamirah, Kaminah, Gregory Jr, Grant, Lily, Jahmir, and Kalayah; Four Great-neices and nephews, Tahir, Za’riyah, Ha’leigh, and Leilani. As well as a host of aunts uncles and other family and friends. Predeceased loved ones: Father, Richard M (RICK) Crump; One nephew, Davion; One niece, Zaniyla.
