Rosalyn Johnson Thomas’ sun rose on July 9, 1930, and set on May 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Janie Drumwright Johnson, sister Myrtle Lever, sons, Noel Black and William Ragland.
She attended and graduated from Person County High School in North Carolina. After her graduation from high school, she began employment at Montgomery Hospital (now Einstein Medical Center Montgomery) in Norristown, Pennsylvania for a number of years, until her retirement.
At an early age, Rosalyn expressed her love and faith in God and was a member of Baily’s Chapel Church in Woodsdale, North Carolina. After relocating to Norristown, Pennsylvania, she joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as an usher until her health declined.
Cherishing her memories are her husband, Marion Thomas, Jr. (Tom), one son Al Ragland (Verna), one granddaughter, Mia Ragland-Weems. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Whether she was affectionately known as “Nana,” “Aunt Rosalyn,” or “Mom,” she was not only a devoted aunt, grandmother, and mother but also a devoted Christian who loved the Lord.
She remained resilient and truly lived a life of faithfulness until God called her home.
