Raymond C. Arnold of Green Lane passed away on April 7, 2021 at Grandview Hospital. He was 87 years old. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 26, 1933 and he was the son of the late Chester and Mary (Duke) Arnold.
Ray was an active member in both the Tabor United Methodist Church and the Perkiomen Mennonite Church. He retired after working 29 years for the United States Postal Service. He was a real outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ray was an all around sports fan and, of course, appreciated the Philadelphia teams and loved watching western movies. Ray spent time traveling around the United States participating as a volunteer with the Roving Volunteers in Christ Service.
Along with his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife; Judith E. (Millard) Arnold.
Dear father of Raymond D. (Lucy) Arnold of Eagleville, Allan L. Arnold of Florida, Paul H. Arnold of King of Prussia, and Gail L. (Joseph) Rogers of Perkiomenville. Brother of Helen Meeker and William (Gloria) Arnold. Also survived by his 6 grandchildren; Cynthia R., Elissa A., Jessica L., Jason R., Joseph B., and Joshua D., and his 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends invited to his viewing Monday April 12th from 11:00 – 1:00 followed by Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Tabor United Methodist Church 2209 Hendricks Station Road Harleysville, PA 19438 / phone # 215-234-4852. Burial to follow at the Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Ray’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
