Norman Augustus Hamilton, Jr. was born April 19, 1963 at Metropolitan Hospital, NYC to the late Rosalie and Norman Hamilton. Norman departed this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA with hospital faculty by his side. The doctor stated that he "slipped away peacefully".
Norman A. Hamilton Jr., also known as "Man", was nicknamed "Man" by his late Mother, Rosalie Hamilton. When she dressed him up for Easter Sunday, she said "he looked like a little handsome man" and that is how his nickname initially came about. Norman was a fun-loving, unique personality. You never knew how Norman would show up and/or show out. Norman had the gift of gab and made friends wherever he went. Despite all he went through, Norman was excited and engaged with his family members and always held a special place in his heart for his children. Norman was skilled and could repurpose just about anything, making "something out of nothing". He was also a great cook. Norman made the best pancakes you could eat. If you didn’t have Norman's pancakes, you were missing out. Norman was educated primarily in the NYC school system on Staten Island and worked several jobs over the years.
Norman met and married Kim Hill in July 1990 and from this union they were blessed with five children: Nyesha, Norman, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Hezekiah.
Norman leaves behind so many who will cherish his memory. In loving remembrance of Norman is one daughter and three sons; Nyesha (John III), Norman, Jeremiah, Hezekiah; four beautiful grandchildren: Nyelle, John IV, Jordan, and Bonnie. Sharing in this benevolence is his sister, Beverly Williams; brother, Bernard Hamilton (Regina); eighteen nieces/nephews; eight great-nieces/nephews, beloved Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and countless other extended family, friends and acquaintances.
Norman was preceded in death by his Son, Isaiah Hamilton; Mother, Rosalie Hamilton; Father, Norman Hamilton; Sister, Sharon Williams; Brother, Tyrone Hamilton, Uncle; Benjamin “Binky” Williams; Stepfather, Ben Lewis; Grandmother, Alma Murray; Grandfather, Benjamin Williams and Great Grandmother, Margie Hampton.
Man will be missed greatly, and his memory will live on with all those that loved him.
