Michael A. DeRosa

Michael Albert DeRosa, 78 years young, of Lansdale, PA passed away November 5, 2021 at 4 pm, with family & friends at his side. He was born to the late Gerardo and Anna Macaluso DeRosa, January 5, 1943, in Somerville, Massachusetts. Michael graduated from both Northeastern University in 1968 with his Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and Arcadia University with his Masters in Computer Education in 1990. Michael is survived by his son Michael and his daughter-in-law Glenna DeRosa, as well as, his three grandchildren, Katie Ellen DeRosa, Journi L. DeRosa and Luke Michael DeRosa and their mother Wendy DeRosa. Michael was predeceased by his loving wife Ellen, with whom he spent 57 glorious years in married bliss. He is also predeceased by his son David who passed on July 4, 2018. Losing his son and wife broke his heart and now he can finally see them both again.

Although he started his professional career in Chemical Engineering, he quickly changed to his true calling of being a junior high and high school teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. Years of students may remember the impact he made on them teaching both mathematics and computer science. Michael was an avid hobbyist who dabbled in massage therapy, government auctions and continuous building projects.

Michael was cremated at Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home in Norristown. He is no longer in pain, finally reunited with his wife & son and at peace.
