Martin was a father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many of us in his time here on earth. As young boys we shared many of the same friends and...  for 15 days we even shared the same age....a time when he would say that "he could boss me around". That same sentiment extended into early 2021 on his 74th Birthday.

It's funny....Up through high school, I was always Skip's brother. He was a mentor and protector. But after returning home from the service, I became "Martin's brother." Because of his overwhelming popularity especially in the social arena, I couldn't go anywhere where folks didn't know Martin. It was great and, on many occasions, we went out together to clubs, concerts and, of course, down the Jersey shore.

Martin loved life in general but his family and friends were of most importance. He was genuinely concerned about your well being and that of your children, who always occupied a special place in his heart.

I didn't get a chance to be with him too much in the past few years. Of course, i now regret not spending more time traveling north to see him and the family in general.

I will miss my brother's smile, words of encouragement and genuine interest in me and our ever growing South Carolina family. His sudden passing has allowed me to take pause and remember those of us who are left behind.

Love ya, Brother !

Ron
