Maria Saetta Interrante, 89 years old, passed away peacefully at home with her family on April 16, 2020. Maria was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States with her husband and two children in 1966. She worked as a seamstress for several years and then went on to work as an assembly worker for Ford Electronics for over 20 years. Since it was a job she truly enjoyed, Maria was reluctant to retire but with the persuasion of her family she retired at age 69. She is the wife of the late Gaspare Interrante and sister of the late, Leonardo Saetta. She is survived by her two brothers; Antonino Saetta, Attilio Saetta and a sister, Giovanna Torre. Also, her son, Charles Interrante (Marina) and Paola Gravinese (Michael); grandchildren Joanne Malandra, Maria Lena Cottman (Clayton), Daniela Janson (Dan), Angelica Palmer (Joe), Juliana Interrante and Gaspare Interrante as well as 8 great grandchildren, Donato, Grace, Charlotte, Luca, Valentina, James,Augustine and Leo. Maria lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, which gave her great joy up to the end where she was able to see and talk to them.She was a very generous person giving to many charities and sponsored orphans in Italy. She loved to feed stray cats and other animals in her yard. She is well known for her great cooking and her famous sponge cookies, which no one can duplicate. She had a hand of gold and she will be truly missed. Relatives and friends invited to her viewing on Monday April 20,2020 from 8:00 – 9:45 at the Raffeo – DiCecco Memorial Home 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton. Mass and Burial are private. Due to Covid – 19, the funeral home is mandated to only allow 5 people in the building at a time to view and pay their respects.
