Luis E. Maldonado

Luis E. “Quique” Maldonado, 79, of Norristown PA, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 15, 2020. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday August 21, 2020 with a viewing from 10 -11 AM followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM at the Raffeo-DiCecco Funeral Home 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton. Luis will be interred at Riverside cemetery in Norristown after the services. Luis was born September 3, 1940, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to Juan Rodriguez and Maria Maldonado. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one sister(Gloria), and one brother(Alcide). Luis is survived by two sons, (Rafael and Edwin) from a previous relationship, one brother, (Jorge), and two sisters(Almida and Laura, “Tita”). His family grew 42 years ago when he met the love of his life, Elisa Martinez. He will be greatly missed by all of his children whom he proudly called “my kids.” Noel, Marta(Jesus),Yolanda, Roberto(Miriam), Cesar(Camila), Idalia(Dan), Bessy(Ricardo ), and Daisy. He will also be missed by his 25 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Luis retired from Heyser landscaping after working 28 years as a foreman. One of his proudest moments was overseeing the landscape layout of the Baltimore Aquarium. He was a loyal (and sometimes frustrated fan) of the Philadelphia Phillies. He enjoyed listening to music, singing, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family and numerous friends. Thank you Papa for your unconditional love.
