James Charles Hoffman passed away on Thursday March 2nd at age 73.
He is predeceased by his father, Bernard Hoffman, mother, Marion Baker Hoffman, and older brother, Jack Hoffman. He is survived by his three younger sisters, Cathy Wagner, Marion Gibson, and Donna Carbone. As well as his sons, Nicholas (Melissa) Fazio, Michael Hoffman, and daughters, Jenna Hoffman and Brittany (Ian) Schmidt, grandsons, Bradley Bauer, Anthony Fazio, Vinny Fazio, and Tommy Fazio, as well as Mary Ellen Hoffman (separated).
Jimmy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, ranking as Sergeant. You could frequently catch him sporting his Marine Corps Cover (not hat!) when out in public.
He had a love for landscaping and home improvements, but a passion for being there for his kids. He had the uncanny ability to make friends with anyone and everyone, and a knack for pulling pranks. He was a Youtube connoisseur and, in his off time, could be seen feverishly beating the computer at Solitaire and bragging about his high score. Nothing hit the spot for him quite like breakfast food at Zotos diner (scrapple!). His children extended beyond those of blood, as Sophie, Juliette, and Sheppy (his dogs) held a special place in his heart. He was an avid sports fan (Go Yankees/Eagles!), loved discussing cars, and playing golf.
Jimmy will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Washington’s Crossings National Cemetery 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940 on Thursday March 16th at 10 AM.
