Jacqueline M. Eiding 8/12/1935 – 4/15/2021 Jacqueline, known as Jackie to family and friends, was the cherished daughter of W. Anne White. Mother of Jacqueline (Bud) Romasky, Valerie and Jerry. Grandmother to Faith, Danielle (Kourky), Mark (Alexandra) and Brian (Haeyoung). Great Grandmother to Jeremy, Elizabeth, William, Amelia, Luna and Leo.
Jackie was born in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. When she was young, she moved to the Kensington section of Philadelphia. She grew up surrounded by her Mother, Grandparents, Aunt and Cousins. She attended Ascension of Our Lord for Grade School and then graduated from Little Flower Catholic Highschool for Girls in 1953.
Jackie married Harry Eiding in 1956. She raised her family in her childhood home on “C” Street. She worked tirelessly to provide the best possible life for her family. In her early 40's Jackie was diagnosed with cancer. With strong will and spirit, Jackie battled cancer and won. A few years later she continued her education and graduated from Nursing school in 1984. She worked for over two decades as an LPN at Parkview Hospital.
When she retired Jackie moved to Norristown, Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed many trips to the shore with her family. Jackie took pleasure in gardening and photography. She loved animals and enjoyed walking her dog “Cloud” in the neighborhood parks. Shopping and visits with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were some of her favorite past times. Jackie was kind yet sassy with a quick wit and enjoyed an Apple-tini when celebrating with family and friends.
In later years, her activities slowed a bit to where watching her Westerns and online shopping were more enjoyable than trips to the supermarket. When stuck at home she was entertained by video chats with her Great Grandchildren. Recently hospitalized, she was more concerned with being at home where she felt comfortable, in her remaining days. This is where Jackie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
