Frances Bicoff Obituary

Frances Lois "Chippy" Bloom Bicoff was born in Phila. On Feb 5, 1937. To Ethel and Isadore Bloom. she was the middle child. Her sister Sharon 13 months older and sister Joyce two years younger. She was raised in strawberry mansion. Chippy, as Frances was called since birth, was a graduate of West Phila High School in 1955. She loved dancing at Bob Horn's American Band Stand. She attended a dance where she met her future husband, Jack Bert Bicoff. She married him on August 14 1960. They honeymooned at the Hyland Motel in Cape May NJ. Chippy was a switch board operator that later in life became telephone sales solicitor. On June 27th 1965 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter Robin Rose Bicoff. Their only child. Chippy would later go on to join the home and school association to the schools her daughter attended. She would accompany her daughter on class trips. She took night courses at Northeast High School. She ran many bingos. She beloved to the Deborah heart and lung association and the ORT group. Chippy loved the European and Fox male reviews. She loved bus trips to Atlantic city. Loved to play slots and horse betting. She also enjoyed the buffets. She went to many stage shows and trips with her daughter. Vacationing in wildwood nj alot. Going out to eat. She would do all the Christmas holidays and St patties day, out to eat. She loved to play cards. Favored solitere and word search puzzles. . Chippy was a huge fan of John Wayne, elvis presley, and Bobby Darin. In Chippys later years She would come down with Dementia. She lived with that for ten years. She outlived her own parents and her sisters and many relatives. She lost her husband Jack on May 1 2020 after 60 yrs of marriage. Chippy was very active, smart and fun person. She will be missed by her daughter Robin very much who affectionately called her "bopper" . Her daughter was by her hospital bed side on July 1, when Chippy drew her last big breath at 8:47 am on Thursday morning.
