Ellis M. Wapner of Glen Mills died suddenly on Monday June 8, 2020 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester. He was 85 years old. Born in Philadelphia on March 2, 1935 and was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Hirsch) Wapner. Ellis was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country proudly. He was a diehard Philadelphia sports enthusiast which included the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. “Sundays with Sinatra” was always a favorite with Ellis when it came to music. He loved going to the shore and sitting on the beach, going out to eat, and of course, the family get togethers. He was certainly a beloved husband, father, and friend. Ellis is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years; Sandra (Goldberg) Wapner. He was a loving father of Richard (Valentine) Wapner, Dale Wapner, Kevin (Eileen) Wapner, and Andrea (Matthew) Sibley. Also survived by his sister; Helene (Barry) Rabinowitch, 2 nieces, and 2 nephews. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 regulations, a Celebration of Life will be held a later date.
