Deborah Diane Post Obituary

Deborah Diane Post (née Balcavage)

Deborah “Debbie” Post died unexpectedly in her home in Hatboro, PA, on February 1, 2024. She was 71. Debbie studied medical technology at Lankenau Hospital. For many years, she worked as a medical laboratory technician at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia and more recently, as a claims analyst. She was enjoying retirement at the time of her passing.

Anyone who knew Debbie will undoubtedly remember her infectious smile and laugh ¬– which could light up a room. An animal lover, Debbie took in several stray dogs and cats over the years and nursed them back to health. Ike, Bugle, Annie, Phoebe, Chloe, Scooter, and Rosie– she doted on them all. She also enjoyed traveling and visited many interesting places – from Alaska to Aruba.

Debbie is survived by two sisters: Barbara Byorick, Sewell, NJ; Dynise Balcavage, Bucks County, PA; and one brother, Frank Balcavage, Ashland PA (and his wife Mary Ann Balcavage). She also leaves behind 3 nieces: Robyn Shiplee (and her husband Michael Shiplee), Williamstown, NJ; Kristin Covone (and her husband Dr. Kenneth Covone), Washington Township, NJ; Karyn Byorick, Williamstown, NJ; 2 nephews: Jeffrey Byorick (and his wife Amy Byorick), Williamstown, NJ; Frank Balcavage, Jr. (and his wife Nicole Balcavage), Bethlehem, PA, as well as 7 great-nieces: Christina Curreri, Olivia Covone, Ava Byorick, Isabella Balcavage, Angelina Balcavage, Emma Balcavage, Sophia Balcavage; 3 great-nephews: Branden Shiplee, Aiden Covone, Jacob Byorick, and her beloved cat Rosie.
