Carala Huffman Obituary

Carala May Huffman May 10, 1938 – February 1, 2021

PLYMOUTH MEETING – Carala May Huffman (Bair), beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother died peacefully at her home after a long illness.

Born in York, Pennsylvania and daughter of the late Nellie Bair.

Much loved Mother of Christine Trunk (husband Carl) of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, Joseph Huffman of New Providence, New Jersey and George Huffman (partner Murphy Moon) of Austin, Texas.

Beloved Grandmother of Reanna Patterson, Carissa Trunk, Carl Trunk, Alexandra Huffman, Olivia Huffman and Great-Grandmother of Penelope Patterson.

The love and grief that she and her daughter Christine gave one another was so immense it could power a city.

She subjected her two sons, Joseph and George to pretty bad haircuts back in the day, but what did we know.

She loved to laugh, especially with her grand daughters Reanna and Carissa, who all have big laughs, so it could get pretty loud in the room sometimes.

She loved her ice cream, talking about EVERYTHING and watching movies with her grandson Carl, who will probably miss her most of all.

She loved giving her grand daughters Alexandra and Olivia obscure gifts for the holidays that no one, especially their perplexed father Joseph, could ever figure out how to set up.

She was so happy to see little Penny girl arrive early into this world so that she could love her great grand daughter Penelope longer.

A private ceremony will be held for the family.

As an expression of love and sympathy memorial donations may be made to her grandson Carl’s school, Center for Creative Works (www.centerforcreativeworks.org/donate).
