Beverly T. Hughes

Beverly Hughes was born In Philadelphia Pa on July 11,1981. She attended school in Philadelphia and then later moved to Reading Pa where she attended Berks Technical Institute. Beverly recently was employed as a customer Service specialist at Wawa. She was a kindhearted person who enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and helping others. Anyone who has ever met Beverly knew her heart was good. Whenever Beverly would walk into a room you knew the room would be filled with laughter. Beverly made sure that every day she would contact someone in the family even if it was just her calling to yell at them for something. Beverly also enjoyed singing and constantly would say she was going to try out for the singing show American Idol one day. Her greatest hobby, which she enjoyed the most, was writing. Beverly would write stories and poems daily as her way of sharing her thoughts with the world. She loved writing so much she chose a unique name for her youngest daughter (Storyann). She explained to her sister that Story was for all the stories she wanted everyone to know about her life and, Ann is the middle name of her sister and mother together you have Storyann. Lastly Beverly tried so hard to make sure she kept a relationship with her oldest daughter Ieisha whom she always called her twin. For those who knew Beverly knows that we better contact her brother and sister Beyonce and Jay-z.

There are no tears in heaven, nor grief of any kind. I leave this final tear drop to those I left behind. Though absent from the body I’m present with the Lord. The joy of my salvation is now my full reward.

Beverly is survived by; Mother- Patricia Griffin Stepfather Richard Griffin (Deceased) Father- Michael Douglas (deceased) Daughters- Ieisha Hughes and Storyann Hughes Granddaughters- Akili Knouse and Savanah Hughes Siblings- Patricia Miller- sister Michael Miller Sr. (brother-in-law) Avery Hughes- Brother Rita Hughes (sister-in-law) Nieces and Nephews- Yasmine Miller, Octavia Miller, Michael Miller Jr and Shyanne Hughes Left behind a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family of Beverly Hughes wishes to extend our sincere thank you to her coworkers from Wawa.

One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."                              Footprints in the Sand
