Wendy Joan Warfel, 62, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2026.

Born on June 17, 1964, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Wendy was the daughter of the late Gerald "Jerry" and Peggy (Eisenhauer) Hefelfinger. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Warfel; her son, Shane Warfel; and her brother, Craig Hefelfinger.

A proud Spring-Ford graduate and Royersford resident, Wendy dedicated much of her life to serving others. She worked at Sunshine Café, in the Spring-Ford School District cafeterias, and in gardening and landscaping. She also volunteered at the Sacred Heart Church Fair, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Wendy was the heart of her family. She devoted herself to caring for her husband throughout his years of disability with unwavering love, strength, and patience. As the mother of three energetic boys, she was their biggest fan—never missing an opportunity to cheer from the sidelines at wrestling matches, baseball games, football games, and every other adventure they pursued. Her enthusiasm was unmistakable, and those who knew her could always find her by the sound of her proud voice.

She had a remarkable gift for making life's moments feel special. Whether decorating her home for every holiday, creating personalized lawn signs to celebrate birthdays and milestones, tending to her gardens, cooking for those she loved, or spending hours crafting something meaningful, Wendy found joy in making others smile. She believed every occasion, big or small, was worth celebrating.

Known for her caring heart, resilience, patience, creativity, and unconditional love, Wendy faced unimaginable loss with incredible strength. After the passing of both her son, Shane, and later her husband, Steve, she continued to honor their memories with grace, faithfully attending the annual Shane Warfel Memorial Scholarship events and remaining a source of love and encouragement to those around her. She taught her family the importance of resilience, perseverance, and finding reasons to celebrate even through life's greatest challenges. One of Wendy's greatest joys was being Carter's Nana, and her love for him never wavered.

Wendy also had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dogs—Scooby, Brutus, and Stevie—and her cats, who brought her endless companionship over the years. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, listening to Aerosmith and Sheryl Crow, and spending time with family and friends, who were always the center of her world.

Wendy is lovingly survived by her sons, Kyle Warfel and Joshua Warfel; her daughter-in-law, Alyssa Warfel; her cherished grandson, Carter Warfel; her sister, Laurie Stipa; along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were brighter because of her love and generosity.

Burial will be held privately at Limerick Garden of Memories. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall and announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home.
