Sandra M. Marsili Obituary It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Marie Marsili (ne Greco) on July 26, 2024 at the age of 66. She is survived by her loving son, Philip Albert Marsili; her cherished brothers: Donald Greco and his wife Andrea Greco, and Joe Greco and his wife Michelle Creamer Greco. To know Sandra was to know boundless love. Her authenticity, compassion, empathy, and humor radiated widely throughout her beloved family, friends, and community, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all those she knew and loved.
Sandra was the first beloved child of her parents Dominic Greco and Anne Greco (ne Tramutolo), born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1958. Sandras natural kindness and joy shone all the more brightly upon the arrival of her beloved younger brothers, whom she defended and loved fiercely. As a child, Sandra was held in loving admiration by her close-knit family, with whom she laughed and grew.
As a bright young woman, Sandra did well in school, both academically and socially. Even at a young age, her warmth and grace made her a naturally popular and beloved member of the Conestoga High School community, from which she graduated in 1976. It was during this time she met her future husband, Philip Raymond Marsili. Their loving courtship blossomed and they were joyfully wed in 1977.
Sandras intelligence and determination allowed her to pursue a paralegal license from Cabrini College, which was a career she navigated with her usual aplomb. Sandra was a natural leader and was known for her thoughtful and thorough work, and her magnetic and charismatic presence.
Sandra and Philips family became complete in 1991 after the birth of their son, Philip Albert Marsili. In motherhood, Sandra found her truest, most profound joy. Her love for her son was boundless, her pride in him immense, and her devotion to family remarkable. Holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings all bore the hallmark "Sandra touch" - her keen ability to make every celebration a bespoke expression of her love, with beautiful touches of thoughtful decoration and delicious food everywhere. Christmases were especially significant, as Sandra and her family gathered together to eat, drink, and be merry, bound together by the love they shared and Sandras warm, welcoming spirit.
Although Philip was her only son, Sandra was also a mother to many of his friends and peers. Uproarious laughter and meaningful heart-to-hearts were regular occurrences on her sunny front porch, and everyone came to rely on Sandra as a non-judgemental listener brimming with keen insight and helpful advice. These talks were so enthralling that, in at least one instance, a pot of ramen was left unattended on the stove, leading at first to shock and finally to belly laughter as everyone realized just how deeply they had been lost in conversation. Her motherly wisdom and love was shared with, and will be missed by Jeff, Alex, Kevin, and JB.
Sandras skill for building a space where all were made to feel welcome translated beautifully to her work in hospitality and food service. She shared her love of celebration and connection with everyone she met. Because of her immensely generous and tender soul she transformed a humble corporate gift shop into a sanctuary for her friends, coworkers, and guests, where she was bestowed the loving moniker "candy lady." A name befitting a spirit as sweet as hers. Sandras charm and care translated to her later work at the Takeda Cafe, where she accompanied every cup of coffee with a thoughtful question or a kind comment. It was there lma
Sandras calling was to love and be loved. She could slow down time to make each and every person feel at home, because with her, they were. Now, we wish we had that same power, to slow down time and share another moment, another meal, another laugh, with Sandra. But she is with us now and in all the moments that are yet to come, holding us and loving us, until she welcomes us back home with her.
