Obituary

Robert Geisler Obituary Robert T Geisler, 81 traveled to that beautiful garden in the sky on February 21, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Philadelphia, the first born child of Robert and the truly amazing Margaret Geisler, followed by four sisters Kathleen, Diane, Carol and Linda. Bob married his sweetheart, Mary Ann Miller following a whirlwind courtship of five years! They recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. Bob truly enjoyed life as a devoted dad to Jenny and Bobby, and a dedicated Grandpop and Pappy to his precious grandchildren and great grandchildren, Arielle, Jesse, Christian, Randee, Emma, James, Judah and most recently Lyla and Mila. And he was grateful for all his family and friends that enriched his life. Bob started working in the Pressroom of the Daily News at age 16 and was employed by The Philadelphia Inquirer where he continued working in the Pressroom for 46 years. A lifelong gardener, he grew flowers and produce alike. He grew the best, sugariest snap peas you could ever hope to try, but seldom found the secret of the perfect tomato! If you couldnt find him around the house, you could find him in the garden. Or perhaps you could find him down the block with his clippers, cleaning up a wayward vine or wild bush. He had always pursued his passion for art, which he discovered at a young age. He honed his artistic talents in retirement especially through his membership with the Norristown Art League; making friends, learning and producing some award-winning artwork. Bob was a giver to those around him and those far away. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels for seven years, meeting so many beautiful people. Relatives and friends invited to his visitation on Saturday March 4th from 12 noon to 1:00 PM followed by Memorial Service 1:00 PM at the Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home 19 East Germantown Pike (at Hannah Ave.), East Norriton In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charities closest to Bobs heart may be made to Philabundance or the Nature Conservancy. Or, of course, to the charity closest to your heart. Services Visitation Saturday March 4, 2023 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home LLC 403 E.
