Randolph A. Lanning Obituary Randolph "Randy" A, Lanning, age 54 of Morrisville, Pa passed away on June 29, while on hospice, after a 2 year plus battle with cancer.
Randy is survived by his mother and stepfather Jack and Maria Buckman of Morrisville, PA. His father Richard A. Lanning Sr. of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Uncle James Edwards of Morrisville, PA. He had many who loved and cared for him including stepsister Gina Vagnarelli and spouse Shane Vagnarelli of Norristown, PA and his stepbrother John Benjamin Buckman of Conshohocken, PA. Aunt and Uncle Joe and Donna Edwards of Millville, New Jersey, Aunt Patricia Ball of Orange County, California and Cousins Megan Pertushun and spouse Erik, Meredith White (Orion), Joseph Edwards Jr. and Sara Waddell all of New Jersey. As well as cousins Steven and Jessica Bell of New Hampshire, Casey Ball of Arizona, Caitlin Ball of S. Korea and Anthony Schmid of Orange County, CA and many friends and colleagues.
He is predeceased in death by his brother Richard Lanning II as well as his Aunt Luci Houx, maternal grandparents Anna M. Edwards and John Edwards of Hamilton Square NJ and paternal grandparents Cecelia and Daniel Lanning of Trenton, NJ.
Randy was born in Trenton and spent his formative years in Lawrenceville. He attended Lawrenceville High School and Bucks County Community College.
Randy loved his books and was an avid reader. He enjoyed history and science fiction/fantasy entertainment. He enjoyed collecting books and swords which brought him much joy.
He had worked at BJs Wholesale in Fairless Hills for many years, even throughout the early stages of his illness.
A private memorial service/picnic will be held at time yet to be determined for those close to Randy.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society or Stand Up To Cancer in Randys name.
