Michael Menta Obituary Michael Menta, 68, of Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. Family members were by his side. He was born in Philadelphia on December 4, 1955, and is the son of the late Dominic and Edith Menta.
Michael was a recently retired chef. Michael went to culinary school where he studied abroad in Paris, France. Upon graduating culinary school, he worked in some of the top fine dining restaurants on the main line. He loved to cook for people and teach people how to cook. He adored his children, brother, and his pets. The beach or any tropical spot was one of his favorite places to spend time and was the biggest Grateful Dead fans on the planet. His favorite pastimes were listening to music, watching movies, going on walks, and spending time with his family. Michael was one of the most selfless and big-hearted human beings.
He is survived by his son, Max, his daughter, Kate, and his brother, Tim
A celebration of his life will be held at McCloskeys Tavern 17 Cricket Ave., Ardmore on October 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please come by and share memories and celebrate his life with his family.
