Mary Sturrock Obituary In loving memory of Mary (nee Carty) Sturrock of Lafayette Hills, PA, formerly of Fort Washington, PA, who passed away December 26, 2024 at the age of 90. Mary was born to Andrew J Carty and Mary Leonard Carty on May 6, 1934 in Philadelphia. She graduated from Cecilian Academy and then continued her education and graduated with a bachelors degree from Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing. A devoted wife, she shared 67 years of marriage with Ian Sturrock spending their lives in Pittsburgh and Fort Washington. Mary was a volunteer for many organizations and charities. She loved taking walks, reading, animals (specifically dogs), crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends. She loved the beach and spent many years enjoying the Jersey Shore in Ocean City. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ian Sturrock. She will be missed by her children, Pam Faherty (John), of Naples, FL and Allison Logue (Steve) of Wayne, PA. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ryan Faherty (Megan), Shannon Faherty and Erin Faherty and sister-in-law Betsy Sturrock as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mary is predeceased by her son, Christopher, her brother Andrew (Drew) Carty, her brother-in-law Peter Sturrock and her sister-law Jean (Sturrock) Bruce and her husband, G Allen Bruce.
