Mary Ellen Santiago Obituary Mary Ellen Santiago (nee Sharon), a long-time resident of Norristown, PA, died June 12, 2024, at the age of 83 due to congestive heart failure. She passed surrounded by her children. She was born on April 7, 1941 in West Chester, PA, one of eight children born to Charles William Sharon and Ada Viola Sharon (nee King). Mrs. Santiago was a retiree of Johnson & Johnsons McNeil Laboratories. Mrs. Santiagos calm demeanor and quiet voice perfectly positioned her to serve in the role of confidant to her twelve grandchildren. She was their staunch supporter and proudly attended their various sports games, musical performances, grandparents days, and graduations. Her four great-grandchildren, all aged 3 and under, brought her tremendous joy. Win or lose, she was a big Phillies and Eagles fan. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Pedro Santiago, her parents Charles and Ada Sharon, her brother Joseph Sharon and her sister Linda Torrance. She is survived by her son Benjamin Santiago and his wife Meggin, his daughters Lydia Hayes and her husband Christopher, Andrea Williams and her husband Todd, her grandchildren Zachary Santiago and his wife Stephenie, Jesse Santiago, Sierra Trayer and her husband Andrew, Joseph Santiago, Gabriella Santiago, Shane Santiago, Delyla Santiago, Annalise Santiago, Ian Hayes, Brendan Hayes, Charles Williams, and Sophia Williams, great-grandchildren, Felicity Trayer, Elora Trayer, Thea Trayer, Peter Joseph (PJ) Santiago and sisters Barbara Cintron, Naomi Phillips, Rose Way and brothers Charles Sharon and his wife Elizabeth, Francis Sharon and his wife Frances, as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Marys Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at The Burgess, Jeffersonville Country Club, 2400 Main Street, Norristown, PA 19403. Visitation at 9:00 am with the Service at 10:00am, followed by Interment at Riverside Cemetery, 200 S. Montgomery Ave, West Norriton, PA 19403. We will be returning to The Burgess for a luncheon. Anyone not able to travel to the cemetery may remain at the Burgess.
