IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maciolek
El Ortiz
March 10, 1992 – February 1, 2026
Maciolek El Ortiz was born on March 10, 1992, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, to the late Teresa Tennille Ortiz. He was the oldest of two children. Maciolek attended the Pottstown and Norristown Area School Districts and graduated from Norristown Area High School in 2010.
Maciolek had a love for sports and played baseball, football and wrestled. He was awarded more than 10 baseball scholarships for colleges across the country. Growing up, weekends were filled with practices and games all over the area. He was employed as a machinist at Dana Incorporated. He also could be found mentoring and coaching younger players and children. Maciolek had a true caring nature, always wanting to help others. He would willingly give his last to someone he cared about. He had a strong love and commitment to his family, always trying to stay connected or helping them in some way. He was the "go-to" for so many when life was rough or they needed clarity. He was someone you could count on to always come through, even if it was in his own time. He was a straight shooter, who could get his point across without judgement of others. He enjoyed being around people that made him happy and loved telling stories.
Maciolek is preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Tennille Ortiz, his great grandparents Elizabeth and Al Berko, Carmen and Gabriel Ortiz, his grandfather Edgardo, his aunts Myeesha, Love, Karen and Loretta, his uncle's Enrique, Bob, and John, as well as multiple cousins.
He will be dearly missed by his grandmother, Anna Marie Ortiz, his four children Cecilia, Jacob, Joshua and Marley, his sister Mikhaela, his brother Brian Josey, his devoted partner Lisa Bailey, his uncles, Sam and Darryl, his cousins Cierra, Dee, David, Ali, Mylihng, Jazmine, Sophie, Nicole, Danielle and many others, his nieces and nephews, as well as influential people in his life including David Josey, and Marcus Cornish.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, February 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home, 403 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12noon. Interment will follow in Chelten Hills Cemetery.
