Obituary

With deep anguish we announce the passing of Linda Laverne Miller. She transcended on October 11th 2024 after a long ongoing battle with diabetes and congestive heart failure. She was predeceased by her Father Isom (Sonny Boy) Miller; her Mother Idella Washington and her Son Diriki Hakim Miller. Along with a host of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Linda was born on April 24th 1950 in Monticello Florida due to unforeseen circumstances her mother decided to move to New Brunswick, NJ to be closer to her side of the family. While in New Brunswick she went to school and College and attended church, where she was a member of the choir and also pursued a career in the music industry as a singer. Sometime thereafter an opportunity came to light in Rochester, NY with a company called Conrail. She along with her mother moved to Rochester. It was there her first son (Ismail) was born and two years later she had her second son (Diriki). After some time with Conrail a more lucrative position became available in Philadelphia, Pa. She took that opportunity and relocated again; this time with her children and mother. While in Philadelphia she switched to the healthcare industry and had her third and final child (Durrell); with the new addition to the family she decided that moving outside of the city would be more beneficial. So, she ventured out to Montgomery County where she lived in Norristown, West Conshohocken and finally settled in King of Prussia. She was an active Mother and her children's wellbeing was her primary focus. She taught her children everything she knew and made a point to instill manners, respect and dignity. She was the best teacher a child could have. Her mind was always geared towards progression as such she was an avid reader. She was an advocate for equal housing in North Philadelphia. Linda was a proud Jehovah's Witness and an active member of the West Conshohocken congregation. She is survived by her sons, Ismail Taymullah & Durrell Trice and grandchildren Salahaldin Taymullah, Nyarai Taymullah and Ayon Trice. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful mind and a beautiful voice and will be missed immensely.
