Laura Jarvis Obituary Laura Jarvis reflected the scripture I Corinthians 13:4-7. Laura was born on May 21, 1948 in Camden,SC to Alma and Louis Green. She was a vibrant soul; wiser than her years who has an early calling to the service of family.She attended Jackson High School in Kershaw, SC and was a member of Beaver Creek AME Methodist Church. In 1964, Laura started her journey up north. Her first stop was in Philadelphia, PA and finally settled in Brooklyn, NY; where she met Mark at a card game. She knew from that encounter he would become her life partner. She convinced her life friend (Jackie H.) to go to Fort Dix Naval Base with her to show her interest. She loved and cherished him with her whole heart from that day forth. She was by his side until his final moment. Their union of 47 years created a blended family of 4 children. Laura was a fire cracker, who was big in love but bigger in respect. Laura was no nonsense type person. You could count on her to tell you the truth 100%-in her special way. According to her family, there was no better cook thank Laura. She knew her way around the kitchen and guarded her recipes tooth and nail. You could count on her to keep her loved ones filled with a hot meal, Love and a place to stay. On Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:09pm, God summoned Laura from labor to reward. Preceding her in death, her beloved Mark, Granddaughter Nazaya, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Laura leaves to cherish her memory, her beautiful children George (Ahmel), Ervin (Abdul), Sabrina (Robert) and Ebonie. Her pride: Granddaughters; Stephanie, Javonnie, Bonnie, Evelyn and Peyton. Her Joys: Great grandchildren; Chase, Sanai, Seven and Milahn. Her brothers: Larry and Gregory. Her uncle William (Boy Kelly) and aunt Margaret Mouzon and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
