Kenneth M. Heller Obituary Kenneth M Heller (Ken) passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the youngest of six, born to Joseph and Ruth (McNelly) Heller of West Norriton. Kenneths dedication to his work was truly admirable. He spent over 35 years at Wayne Automation (and continued to up until a few weeks ago), 30 years at Automation Resources, and 15 years at the Philadelphia Inquirer, often juggling all three simultaneously.
He had a passion for many hobbies, particularly his train collecting and creating mosaic scenery. He also enjoyed using his 3D printer to make things and was a self-taught acoustic guitar player. But above all, he cherished his time with his family, especially at the beach. He would rise early to metal detect at the Indian River Inlet and Coin Beach, and loved jet skiing, mini golfing, and taking his family out on a pontoon "couch" boat. He was known for striking up conversations with fellow fishermen while fishing on the jetty.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Carfagno) of 44 years; 2 children, Jeffrey (Alessandra Pagnoni) and Caralee (Cody Widmann); 3 grandchildren, Luca Heller, Crew Widmann, and baby Widmann (due in September); and his canine companion Trinket May. He is also survived by his siblings, Joseph (Dee) Heller, Barbara (Phil) Moss, Beverly (Allen) Stehman, and Patty Termine (Bill Monroe), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Heller, and his precious canine companions, Tuffy, Toto, Cubby, and Autumn Bee.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, July 6, from 9 to 10:15 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Church, 196 N Trooper Road, Norristown, 19403. Internment will immediately follow at St Patricks Cemetery.
