Joseph Baumher Sr. Obituary Joseph L. Baumher, (67) of Cape May, NJ passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Joe was a resident of Upper Moreland Township and Warminster, PA until 2018 when he moved to Cape May, NJ with his beloved partner, Patricia ODonnell. There, they enjoyed life at the beach together.
Joe worked in several trades during his life which included the sheet metal workers union, bartender, chef, and heating and air conditioning installation. Joe became self-employed as an HVAC installer in PA and in 2018, he moved his business to NJ. He was an amazing tradesman and was well respected for his attention to detail and pride in his work.
Joe enjoyed every day doing what he loved, which was working with his hands. He started each day with his list of projects and they were usually completed the same day. What would take most men days to complete, he did in hours. He loved helping others and did it selflessly. Joe also had a love for classic cars and motorcycles. He rebuilt two Chevy Chevelles to perfection that he enjoyed riding around town. Joe spent many days at the beach, boating and fishing. His happiest times were spending it with his children, grandchildren and friends. He prepared for a party days in advance and never disappointed. The 4th of July parties revolved around the kids and they always had a blast.
Joe was proceeded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Baumher (Giordiano) and John A. Baumher, brother Edwin Baumher, and granddaughter Mariah Rose. He is survived by his loving children Joan Hewitt, Joseph Baumher, Jr. (Kate), Michael Baumher (Jayme) and Samantha Fletcher (Robert), as well as his 10 grandchildren and a new addition on the way in May; James, Riley, Chloe, Caylee, Hailey, James, Kane, Nathan, Julian and Maisie. Also surviving are his siblings, John Baumher (Sonia), Thomas Baumher (Theresa), Elizabeth Haines (William) and Mary Schrope (William). He is also survived by his loving partner Patricia ODonnell, and her children, Christina Leasher (James), and Robert ODonnell.
