John Pomeroy Sr. Obituary John R. Pomeroy, Sr. was called home to his Heavenly Father, Sunday, February 27, 2023. John was 81years old. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Ann Pomeroy, his brother, James M. Pomeroy, sister, Elaine M. (Pomeroy) Impero and his daughter Lori Pomeroy. John is survived by his loving wife, Julia Pomeroy. He is also survived by his children John R. Pomeroy, Jr., and Keri Pomeroy (Pennsylvania); sister and brother-in-law Kathryn and William Hanifin (South Carolina), sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Gary Kippe (Mississippi), and brother and sister-in-law Martin and Marilu Pomeroy (Massachusetts); sister-in-law Betty Pomeroy (North Carolina); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Of special survival is stepdaughter, Karen (Scott) Sinnott (Pennsylvania) and grandsons, Brendan, Charles, and Ryan. John was a graduate of Scranton University and of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. John was an employee of the State of Pennsylvania for over 30 years serving within the Redevelopment Authority, The Governors Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, and a Human Resource Director at Waymart State Correctional Facility. John was a member of St. Helena Church, Blue Bell, PA and served as a Lector and an Extraordinary Minister. He was devoted to his faith. John will be forever loved, cherished, and missed, especially as a husband, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. John will be cremated at Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home, Norristown, PA. A Christian Mass will be offered, Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11 am at St. Helena Church in Blue Bell, PA.
