John Joseph Keenan 83, of Plymouth Meeting, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025.
Born February 21, 1942, in Archbold, PA, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Mary (Cawley) Keenan.
John graduated from Archbald High School in 1960.
After high school, John served in the Air Force. Subsequently, he worked for decades at UPS, starting as a delivery truck driver and working up the ranks to management
John was a natural athlete and loved to swim, jog, bike, but he especially loved to golf.
With his warm smile and quick wit, John made fast friends with almost all that he met. John also maintained a core group of close friends that he has known for decades; the oldest friendship going back to the first grade.
John was an honest person, a hard worker, a fantastic dad, and loyal friend. He will be missed by many.
John is survived by his children, son David and Linda Keenan of Willingboro, NJ; daughter Colleen Keenan and Ed Hamby of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and daughter Kelley Keenan, of Arlington, VA. John has two grandsons, David Junior Keenan and Jake Hamby.
John is also survived by sister Marian Cunningham and husband Denis of Amherst, NH and sister Margaret King of Waverly Township, PA.
He was predeceased by his sister Sheila Keenan of Clarks Summit, PA, and his brother-in-law Joseph King of Waverly Township.
A private memorial service to be held on Thursday, May 8th at 1 pm at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton, PA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Williamson School Fund, a scholarship fund for young men in need who are looking to earn a trade.
