Jeanne Meckley Obituary Jeanne W. Meckley, 94, died at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at The Meadows at Shannondell in Audubon, PA where she had been a resident for the past 5 years. She died of lung cancer that was diagnosed last October. Born in Spangler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward T. and Zella Belle Williams. She was the last surviving member of her family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She lived in Bloomsburg for 41 years. Mrs. Meckley was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the women's Marianne Circle and Crusaders Class. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Bloomsburg, past Royal Matron of the Amerants, and past Chairman of the Board of the Rainbow for Girls of Clearfield, PA. She was also a member of the Women's Civic Club and the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Meckley was married to the late Donald F. Meckley past President of the Bloomsburg Bank Columbia Trust Co. now the First Columbia Bank. Surviving are 2 sons and 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren. Gerald and wife Lila and their daughter Ashley and husband Dr. John Hamilton live in Salisbury, Maryland. Thomas and Mary Meckley and their sons, Scott and Danny and their families are living in the Harrisburg area. Daughter Elizabeth lives in Ardmore, PA. Mrs. Meckley wished to be cremated and will be buried at a later date this spring beside her husband at the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Chlidren's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
