Immaculata Martinez Obituary Immaculata Martinez "Maggie" (nee Bello), wife of the late Mariano Martinez, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday August 1st, 2021. She was born on December 19 th, 1931 in Conshohocken, PA to the late Angelo R. and Maria Grazia (DeLeo) Bello.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Clarke, Lisa Martinez, Lori Mooney, the late Lana Martinez and Grace Hayes. Her grandchildren, Gabriel Lerman (Nancy), Justin Mooney, Beth Wilkinson (Lantz), Ressie Popowicz (Joe), Aurora Phillips (Chip), Alesandra Sulcer (Jason) and the late Jacqueline Angelucci (Larry). Her great-grandchildren, the late Skylar, Aubrey and Bryce, Camryn and Brayden, Carlos and Sophia, Leo and Milena. Her siblings, Anthony Bello, Gina Waddell and Maria Falzone. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Philomena Neve, Teresa Bello, Emilia F. Bello Jones and Anna E. Bello Ross.
Maggie felt a deep connection to her familial roots in Italy. She enjoyed sharing stories filled with childhood memories and the family traditions that were brought to America from her parents hometown of Montella.
Maggie was a devout Christian with special intentions to the Blessed Mother. Her faith was her moral compass that guided her throughout her life. She was a kindhearted person and had a profound love for her husband, Mariano, throughout their sixty-one years of marriage. She adored her entire family and felt compassion for the well-being of everyone she encountered. Naturally inclusive, Maggie had a special way of connecting with others and was accepting of everyone with whom she met.
She was also an avid reader with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Maggie enjoyed conversations of substance and was an excellent listener who welcomed other perspectives. She enjoyed attending church, volunteering, gardening, traveling and spending time with dear friends. Maggie accomplished her life-long dream of creating a beautiful home in Ocean City, NJ that she shared with her family and friends to create memories to last a lifetime.
Relatives and friends are invited to Maggie Martinezs Funeral Mass on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne PA 19087. The Viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM at the Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
