Ian Sturrock passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born on June 22, 1932, in Montreal, Canada, to the late Andrew and Janet (Black) Sturrock, Ian immigrated to the United States as a young boy. He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and went on to earn a degree in Engineering from Drexel University. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Navy Reserves.

Ian met Mary Carty, and the two were married on October 26, 1957, in Philadelphia, beginning a beautiful life together and raising their family.

A longtime member of St. Philip Neri Parish in Lafayette Hill, Ian had many passions, including cooking, golf, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the beach and spent many happy years enjoying the Jersey Shore in Ocean City.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Pam Faherty (John) of Naples, FL, and Allison Logue (Steve) of Wayne, PA; and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan Faherty (Megan), Shannon Faherty, Erin Faherty, and Elizabeth Logue. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Betsy Sturrock, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ian was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary; his son, Christopher; his brother, Peter Sturrock; his sister, Jean (Sturrock) Bruce, and her husband, G. Allen Bruce; and his brother-in-law, Andrew (Drew) Carty.

Ian was a devoted friend, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
