Glenda Livich Obituary Glenda Livich of Lancaster passed away on January 21, 2025. She was 61 years old. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Ralph Graulau and Ada Purcell Suarez. She was also the wife of Joseph Livich.
She had various jobs in New York which is also where she worked hard to receive her GED. As much as she loved New York she moved to Pennsylvania to raise her daughter Nicole and have her second daughter Samantha. During their childhoods she was a homemaker and did volunteer work at Burrowes Elementary where both daughters attended. It was here she made lifelong friends and touched the lives of many people, from students to staff and other parents. Glenda would volunteer for field trips, class parties, carnival stands and she oversaw and created routines for baton and pom poms in which they would march in parades and show school pride. At the end of every year she would organize and raise the money to take them all to Dutch Wonderland. During her free time she loved flying kites, going to as many different fireworks as she could, being in nature, going on hikes with her daughters and her dog Sugar, and making pinatas as well as spending time with all her nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren. Kids were always drawn to her as she loved to do arts and crafts and play board games.
Glenda will always be remembered as someone anyone could talk to and people loved to be around. Glenda had a huge heart and loved to show everyone how special they are. She would always put others before herself. As her daughters grew older they spent a lot of their time together and enjoyed life as much as they could until their mother fell ill with Dementia to which they devoted the rest of her time to taking care of her and making sure she was comfortable and loved.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Nicole Livich and Samantha Livich, Nicoles boyfriend, Anthony Gonzalez, who she looked at like the son she never had, and his four children, who she adored as if they were her own grandchildren, Alexander, Xaiver, Cheyenne and Ana, who called her Grandma 2.0, a special name they gave just for her. Both her sisters, Rose Wallace and Maritza Santiago, and her brother, Richard Purcell, as well as the MANY nephews and nieces that loved and adored her. She was preceded in passing by her father and her brother Fernando Antonio Purcell.
Glenda wanted everyone she loved to love themselves, cherish those around them and most of all love life. She knew the importance of family and friends and would be so happy that so many of the people she loved were there for her and her daughters in the end. She would always say life is too short to let it slip by or be sad. Let's all honor her by being there for those you love and making sure you check in on those who need it and most of all enjoy every second because you never know when it might be your last.
