Gladys Himes Obituary Gladys M. Himes (nee Gayser) passed away peacefully at her home in Norristown, PA, on Sunday May 26, 2024. She was 89. Gladys worked as a CNA at the Clara Burke Community for over 30 years. She loved taking excellent care of her patients and would share many stories of her work over the years. She enjoyed taking car rides, visiting Lancaster, the farms, eating ice cream, going to the casino, eating out, going shopping at her favorite stores, singing and dancing and most importantly spending time with the people she loved and adored. She was very caring and nurturing. She would take care of everyone she loved who was sick or in need. She loved having a bird and being visited by her favorite dogs. She will be sorely missed every moment of everyday. Born in Conshohocken, PA, on September 29, 1934. She was the daughter of the late John Montgomery and Della (Culp) Gayser. She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Gayser Sr, sister Helen Romano and two son-in-law's John Gillespie and Michael Degnan. Gladys is survived by her three daughters, Holly Degnan, Sharon (Tom) Matteis and Susan Gillespie. She was the loving Mom-Mom to Heather (Robert), Kimberly (Kevin), John (Courtney), Anthony (Lauren), Brittany (Mike) and Gabby. She was the best Great-Grandmom to 9 wonderful kids. She will be especially missed by her two Great-Grandbabies she helped raise and care for, the light's of her life, Jazmine Della and Malcolm Robert. It hurts so much to let such a wonderful lady go but we wouldn't trade one moment of all we've shared.Our life is forever better because she has been apart of it.
