Gerald M. ' Jerry ' Ragusa Obituary Gerald "Jerry" Michael Ragusa, a Korean War veteran from Norristown, passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was a dedicated husband of 69 years to Frances "Fran" (Catania) Ragusa. His commitment to family and duty defined him, leaving a legacy that extends through generations.
He is survived by four children, Mary-Ellen Shirley (Skip), Vincent Ragusa (Susan), Charles Ragusa (Michelle), and Katherine "Kathy" Barber (Mike), grandchildren Megan, Vincent Jr. (Jessica), Melissa (Joey), Daniel, Kelly, Kayla, Maddison, and Michael Jr., and great-grandchildren Vincent III, Ryan, Jayden, Evan, Logan, and Landon. He is preceded in death by his grandson Brian. A brother, uncle, godfather, and a friend to many, Gerald's life was marked by his military service and family ties.
As we reflect on Gerald's life, we acknowledge his service, resilience, and the familial connections he forged. Gerald was a member of the Norristown Maenner-Chor Club and the Boulder Valley Gun Club. He worked at Alan Wood Steel and Norristown Area School District. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cabin but most of all, surrounding himself with family. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a mix of memories and experiences for those who knew him.
Relatives and friends invited to his viewing on Friday March 8th from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM followed by Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at Holy Saviour Catholic Church 407 East Main Street, Norristown Following Mass entombment will be in St. Patrick's Mausoleum.
