Emily Yelena Hill Shank, 31, of Columbia, PA passed away on September 28, 2025. Born in a small village in Belarus, and later lived in a small village in Latvia, and then in an orphanage in Jelgava, Latvia. At age 9 she and her brother age 7, were adopted and moved to Washington Boro , Pennsylvania with the Hill family.

Emily loved her school life attending Letort Elementary School. Her summers were spent swimming on the swim team at the Millersville pool. Emily also attended Agora Charter School, Lancaster Christian and Penn Manor High School where she played field hockey. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Lancaster and was involved with the youth group there. At age 15 her life was saved when Life Lion lifted her to Hershey Medical Center after a near death illness. She married in 2019 and had 2 children.

She is survived by her her children Bentley Shank and Aubree Shank and their father, Tyler Shank; her parents, Richard and Louise Hill ; 4 siblings, Nathaniel Hill, Carolyn Villano, Joanna George and Erik Hill and many other relatives.  Her family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all those who invested in her life.
