David M. Wigg aged 86, a long time resident of Upper Black Eddy PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025. He was born in Bury St. Edmunds (UK) on February 14,1939. He is predeceased by his parents, Martin Ellis Wigg and Margaret Ann Wilton. David received a master's degree from the University of Hull (UK) and was a journalist who reported from Latin and North America, South East Asia and India for many publications including The Times of London.

David enjoyed classic and jazz music and played piano much of his life. He was an avid reader, retained encyclopedic knowledge of 20th century history, and a keen observer of current events. He was known for his wit and good humor.

David was a devoted husband and will be deeply missed by his wife of 46 years, Barbara F. Crossette who was also a journalist. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jonathan Wigg, his sister, Mary Hunt and his brother, Michael Wigg all of the UK; and stepson Jonathan Crossette and his wife Linda, grandchildren Nathan and Emily Crossette, and great granddaughter, Barbara B Yonts.
