Dana Myers Obituary Dana Deborah Myers, age 71, tragically passed away on April 23. Dana was born on October 21, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA to Jean and Aristotle Cantoral. She grew up in a large, happy family which included her four loving sisters, Roxanne, Diane, Randy, and Tracy. She soon started her own family which eventually grew to include six children.
Besides caring for her family, Dana had many interests. Most would have to agree that music and dancing were her favorites. Her children have fond memories of their mom playing Donna Summer or the Bee Gees while dancing around the living room with them, sometimes late into the night. Another great love of Danas was holidays. Few could have topped her efforts in preparing for these special days. Whether it was Christmas, Easter, or only Valentines Day, Dana took painstaking efforts to delight all of her childrena habit that, no doubt, has been passed along to the next generation. Dana was an energetic woman, and she wasnt afraid of new challenges. In her early fifties, she decided to go back to school. She attended Sanford Brown Institute and became a medical assistant. Danas love of people made her a natural in working with the elderly. She went on to work for several retirement homes, and she was successful in her new career for many years.
Dana is survived by her six children, Michael, Michele, Danielle, Nicole, Joseph, and KaseyLynne, as well as her four sisters, thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. There will be a service for those who would like to say their last goodbyes to Dana on the 25th of June, at 10am, at the assembly room at Ivy Hill cemetery, in Philadelphia.
