Christopher Carlisle Obituary Christopher I. Carlisle passed away peacefully by his daughters side at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA on Friday, September 9, 2022. Christopher went to be with his wife, Sharon P. Carlisle, at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Chris and Sharon built a life of love together. Their fondest memories include cooking and gardening, visiting Assateague and Nantucket Island, and living on various farms in Chester County. Chris was an amazing father to his two daughters Alison and Amanda. He welcomed their spouses, Greg and Josh, into the family as if they were his own.
Chris was born September 3, 1940 and spent his early years being raised by his mother, Emma Carlisle, in Media, PA. He attended Westtown Friends School where both of his daughters would later receive their education. After graduation, Chris pursued a career in Finance, a passion he carried with him throughout his life.
Chris loved watching sports in person and from home. He was a faithful Phillies fan and always loved the Oakland As. Chris loved "horse country" where he found his love for fox hunting and later dog walking that filled his leisure time. Right up until his passing, you could find Chris walking his beloved Airedale, Barney, at Nottingham Park, Wolfs Hollow, or Glenroy Preserves.
Chris leaves behind his two daughters, Alison (Greg) and Amanda (Josh), and five grand children: Christin (Amanda), Jake (Alison), Emily (Amanda), Jessica (Amanda), and Allie (Amanda). Chris will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor, strong hugs, and ability to tell a good story. His passion for animals and the outdoors will run throughout future generations. There will be a private celebration or life to be held at a later date.
