IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol
Nichols
December 6, 1948 – September 27, 2025
Carol A Nichols of Mont Clare, Pennsylvania joined our Heavenly Father on September 27, 2025 at the age of 76. She was the beloved wife of William Nichols.
Born in Hartford, Connecticut she was the daughter of the late Paul J Walter and Marjorie Jane (Mekeel) Walter. Carol graduated from Berlin High School in Berlin, Connecticut and later moved to The Northeastern Pennsylvania area to earn a degree in Practical Nursing from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital's nursing program where she ended up working for many years and met her Best Friend Sally Walter who would later become her Sister In Law.
Carol married her loving husband, William Nichols, 35 years ago. They lived in Shavertown for many years before relocating to Mont Clare. Together they raised several dogs, Suzette, Ralph, Sparky, Soups, Mickey, Shadow, Abby and one cat Chairman all of whom were loved beyond measure.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Thomas Walter and wife Sally Walter, Dallas; nieces and nephews, Samantha Spencer, Shavertown, Shelby Landucci, Dallas, Jake Walter, Clarks Summit and John Walter, Dallas. Great nieces and nephews, Colton and wife Tonya Spencer; Brittany Spencer, Dunmore, Kassidy Spencer, Scranton, Savannah Lockwood, Boston, MA; Ember and Zoe Landucci, Dallas; Pierce and Rosalina Walter, Clarks Summit; Liam, Jaxon, and Dustin Walter, Dallas. Carol also had 5 great-great nephews and 3 great-great nieces, and many cousins. This large, wonderful, and loving family is all because of a beautiful friendship that bloomed when Carol and Sally met while working together at General Hospital in the late 1970's.
Memorial Services will be held privately at the convenience of family. Arrangements entrusted to Raffeo-DiCecco Memorial Home.
