Brooke Ross Obituary Brooke Stanford Ross Cronin, 75, beloved wife of Joe Cronin, Jr. died peacefully on December 22, 2022 after a lengthy battle with COPD. Brooke was proceeded in death by her father Edgar, her mother Barbara, her sister Barbara Ross Conroy, her brother Calhoun and her nephew Eddie. She is survived by her family: her loving husband Joe, her mother-in-law Bettie, Lauren (Cronin) and Harvey Wolkov, Kathy (Lowry) and Tom Cronin, Barbara Cronin, her brother-in-law John Conroy, seven nieces and nephews and many loving friends on the West Coast and East Coast. Brooke was a proud native Californian and lived in the San Francisco Bay area before relocating to West Chester, PA to be closer to Joes family. Earlier in her life she owned clothing stores in Southern California. She returned to the Bay area and worked for more than 20 years as a non-profit executive, first with Conard House, Inc. (programs for homeless mentally ill adults) and then with Second Harvest Food Bank of San Mateo. Brooke chose to love life and brought joy and love to others primarily through her cooking and entertaining. She was noted for her generosity, her Christmas parties, her dinner parties, and many other festive celebrations. She also spent many wonderful times with friends at the Sausalito Yacht Club, where she once served as Entertainment Director. Brookes funeral Mass will be held on April 26, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Josephs Church, Downingtown, PA. A brief interment service will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local pet shelter or food bank.
