Benjamin Lawrence Phillips, Jr., of Norristown, PA, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born in Norristown, PA, Ben was the beloved son of the late Benjamin Lawrence Phillips, Sr. and the late Anna Marie (Catagnus) Phillips. He was a 1988 graduate of Norristown Area High School and proudly enlisted in the United States Navy in September of that same year. Ben served honorably during the Gulf War/Operation Desert Storm and was discharged in April of 1995.

In 1997, Ben began a long and dedicated career with Santoro Marble, where he worked as a waterjet operator, programmer and repairman until his passing.

Ben enjoyed Korean food, spending time at local bars and VFWs and most of all, having a good time with those around him.

In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by four uncles, two aunts and one cousin.

He is survived by his loving siblings: Diane Marshall (late Mitchell) of Conshohocken, Samantha Phillips of Norristown, James Platt (Kim) of Sinking Spring and Michael Platt of Mansfield, Ohio. Ben is also survived by two nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews, one great-niece, two uncles, four aunts, several cousins and many former midshipmen and women with whom he proudly served.

A memorial picnic, where family and friends will gather to celebrate and honor Ben's life will be held on Sunday,  June 21, 2026, 10:00AM to Sunset at Green Lane Park, 2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane, PA (Deep Creek Pavilion).
