Obituary

Arthur Wood Obituary Arthur P. Wood 74, died Saturday, July 09, 2023, at home in Harleysville, PA. He is survived by his 4 kids, Steven (son), Kathryn (Daughter), Matthew (Son), Deborah (Daughter) as well as his sibling Sharon (sister) and grand kids, Johnathan, Romeo, Joel, Jordyn, Cayden, Summer, Tori, and Casidy. Arthur enlisted in the United States Army after graduating one year early from High School because he possessed Einstein-level intelligence and was also Brad Pit in Inglorious Bastard badass and wanted to serve his country. Affectionately known as Sergeant Woody by his brothers in Arms, he fought bravely as a tank commander in the Vietnam War. Recognized by his fellow soldiers, ranking officials, and the US Gov, Woody fought courageously during his tour in Vietnam to repel wave after wave of attacking enemy. He's been awarded the Gallantry Cross with Silver Star, the Purple Heart, amongst many other awards recognizing his courage and ferocity. Seriously, he was more decorated than the Christmas Tree in The Nightmare before Christmas, which we watched together on Halloween. Post-military Arthur attended night school and attained his aviation mechanics license. He took great pride in his skills and could easily have been the best mechanic in any field. If your car made a sound, he could easily pick it out and have it running quicker than the frogs he seemed to step on inside the house, which would strangely never be present when we would look. It was never a dull moment with Arthur; whether we were fishing, taking a trip on the Jungle Queen in beautiful South Florida, riding on the Tylersport Haunted Hay Ride, or blazing a fat one, we were always in for a good time. His favorite shows were Two & a Half Men and The Weather Channel. The only thing he watched more were the people walking by his apartment as he smoked his cigarette, for which he had the weather report ready. Arthur would do anything for his kids day or night. Whether bailing one of us out for the silly shenanigans we'd get into, dropping everything to fix our cars, or counseling us military style. He was our Captain America, our Superman, and our hero. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would love if you would share any stories about Arthur or have any trinkets that we could memorialize in his shadow box with. Arthur's services will be held privately by the family. Please reach out to Kathryn if you would like to be in attendance. Services Private Services
