Anthony G. “Tony” Tornetta of Plymouth Meeting passed away on June 19, 2026. He was 94 years old. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Mary (Vresk) and Gus Tornetta, Sr. He was also the beloved husband of Dorothy (Morgan) Tornetta for 69 years.
Tony was a graduate of Norristown High School and devoted 36 years in accounting for the federal government. He enjoyed trips to the casino, old cowboy movies, and sports. He will be remembered as a passionate golfer who was fun to play with and a mentor to many, especially for his kids and grandkids. He always made time to listen to golfer's struggles, offer advice to fix whatever was causing those troubles, and volunteered to accompany beginning golfers to the golf range to offer advice and encouragement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Colleen Wilson of Skippack, Anthony Tornetta (Amy) of King of Prussia, Sue Wylie of Frisco, TX, and John Tornetta (Dawn) of Audubon; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Alex, Kyle, Justin, Joseph, Rose, Nick, TJ, and Sydney; and his brother, Gus Tornetta, Jr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rose Tornetta.
