Anthony
Blandina
Jun 25, 1954 — Sep 21, 2026
Anthony Blandina, 72, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026.
Born in Manhattan, New York and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Anthony was the beloved son of the late Michael and May (Wollack) Blandina. He attended and graduated from private Catholic schools in New York and later attended Fordham University, New York, where he studied economics. He also studied Spanish in Madrid, Spain, and worked in information technology with Verizon.
Anthony was a man who embraced life with curiosity, adventure, music, and the simple pleasures of everyday living. In his younger years, his love of skiing took him around the world, including the Swiss Alps. He lived in Barcelona and traveled the world, creating memories and experiences that stayed with him throughout his life.
Music was a particularly important part of Anthony's life. He absolutely loved playing the guitar and listening to his favorite music, especially The Beatles and the band, Hot Tuna. He enjoyed going to the beach, walking wherever he could, ham and cheese sandwiches and beginning each morning with a cup of hot coffee. Anthony took great pleasure in cooking for his family. Among their favorite memories is his homemade Italian pasta, he made the best pasta with sausage.
Anthony will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rose Marie (Espiritu) Blandina; his three children; and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Blandina, who passed away decades ago.
Anthony will be remembered for his love of music, his passion for travel and skiing, his generosity in the kitchen, and the everyday moments that made him who he was. Above all, he will be remembered and loved by his family, who will carry his memory with them always.
