Andrew Charles Ragusa passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 97. Born August 5, 1928, Andrew was a lifetime resident of Norristown, PA and parishioner of Holy Saviour Parish in Norristown.
Andrew graduated from Norristown Senior High School in 1946 and from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in 1957. He served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952 stationed in Alaska. Andrew was a Certified Public Accountant who retired in 2018 after many years at Kelly Welde & Company in Broomall, PA. Andrew served as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Norristown Bocce League for 21 years and as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Norristown Catholic War Veterans Post 1182 for many years.
Andrew is survived by his daughter, Valerieann Elaine Ragusa, son, Andrew James Ragusa, daughter-in-law, Deirdre Noelle (Hannon) Ragusa, grandchildren, James Andrew Ragusa and Andrea Noelle Ragusa, and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose (Mauceri) Ragusa, his wife of 48 years, Ann (Nanasko) Ragusa, his siblings and their spouses including sisters, Agnes Ragusa, Mary Ragusa, and Lena Greco (Anthony), brothers, Agustus Ragusa (Ann), and Benjamin Ragusa (Theresa), in-laws including Joseph and Marie Osinski, Raymond and Eleanor Tatarsky, and Joseph Nanasko.
Andrew enjoyed bocce, golf, tennis, basketball, and reading. He also loved the many dinners, gatherings, and holiday celebrations in New York with his family and daughter-in-law's parents, Jim and Noelle Hannon. He was also an avid traveler enjoying family vacations to Italy, Poland, cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, and many trips to the Jersey Shore.
His wit, intelligence, common sense, companionship, and love will be missed greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 9am to 9:45am at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Mass will follow at 10am. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Norriton.
