Albert J. Stagliano Jr. Obituary With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Albert J. Stagliano Jr. After a long, difficult battle with Dementia, Al passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 27, 2024 at the age of 78. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on March 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Josephine (Santangelo) and Albert J. Stagliano Sr. Albert, known to many as 'Stag,' served our nation with courage and pride as a member of the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. In speaking of his service, Al would say "I hated every second of it, but would gladly do it again". Upon his return from Vietnam at the young age of 22, Al proudly opened Stagliano's Barber Shop which quickly became a local haven for camaraderie and conversation where his wife Terrie worked by his side for 37 years and now continues his legacy. Als customers quickly became his friends. One of Als many quotes about his barber shop was "You come in on the offense or go out on the defense!". His love for his community was further displayed with his role as Mayor of Collegeville Borough, a position he held with honor from 2005 to 2017. Albert attended Norristown High School and furthered his education at the Arena School of Barbering. His commitment to his fellow veterans was exemplified through his involvement in the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 25. Al enjoyed an active life playing racquetball, basketball, and of course, golf. His support for Villanova basketball was a source of great joy for him. Al was an avid pool player and a member of The American Pool Association. His love for poker and roulette could be seen during his cherished time spent traveling and enjoying casino outings with his wife Terrie. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa (Savini) Stagliano; his children, Daneen Stagliano Lee (Shawn) and Kimberly Stagliano (Juan 'Ben' Rodriguez); his stepdaughters, Andrea Farnsworth Cardwell (Thomas) and Diana Farnsworth Cordrey; his grandchildren, Makayla, Aidan, Scarlett Lee, Cianna Stagliano Rodriguez, Gia Cordrey, Thomas, Nathan, Allison and Vincent Cardwell. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Ann (Stagliano) Magee and nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being made by Raffeo-Dicecco Memorial Home. Visitation for Albert will be held on Sunday July 21st from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM followed by a Memorial Service to honor and celebrate his life at 1:00 PM at Augustus Lutheran Church 717 W Main St Trappe, PA 19426. Interment will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Albert's memory to DAV Chapter 25 P.O. Box 76 Skippack, PA 19430, or through their website at www.davchapter25.org, to continue his legacy of service. Als life was a testament to his deep commitment to his family, his service to his country, and his dedication to serving his community. His passing is mourned by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
