Victoria Inga Taylor, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Lansdale, PA on November 2, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson 's disease.

Vicki was born in Jefferson, New York on April 9, 1946. She was predeceased by her parents, Inga and William Taylor, and her brother-in-law, William Woods. She is survived by her sister Sally Woods of Monongahela, PA and her nephew William David Woods of West Virginia and grandnieces Charlotte and Roselyn Woods.

Vicki graduated from Hartwick College and later received her Master's of Science in Microbiology from the University of Hawaii. Vicki was employed as a Microbiologist by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and participated in the department's investigation of the first incident of legionnaire's disease in Philadelphia. She worked for the Merck pharmaceutical company for the bulk of her professional career as a Microbiologist, including spending several years in Germany supporting clinical trials related to vaccines.

Throughout the challenges presented by her illness, Vicki maintained her joy for life, her positive attitude, her motivation, and sense of humor. She would rise to the occasion for a small wine to celebrate happy hour with visiting friends.

Vicki loved life! While attending undergraduate studies, she worked summers at the Sugar Maples resort in Maplecrest, NY where she earned the nickname of "fun ball" because of her happy outlook and willingness to join in the fun. She kept the close friendships - and the nickname - she made from that time throughout her life.

Vicki loved board games, card games, crossword puzzles, and especially jigsaw puzzles. She had a large collection of puzzles and there was no puzzle that could beat her. Vicki was also a great cook and two specialties her friends requested over and over were Veal Bolognese and Boeuf Bourguignon!

Vicki was an avid squash player for many years in a club in North Wales PA near her home. Golfing was another of her joys and she was a member of a local country club for several years. She also loved traveling, visiting all seven continents and many countries. She had an adventurous spirit and would try anything once! She made friends everywhere she visited.

Vicki was a person of outstanding character - she was kind, thoughtful, caring, generous, peace loving. Her friends rarely saw her angry. Vicki made her friends her family and brought everyone together for holidays and celebrations.

Vicki's family and friends would like to express their boundless thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported Vicki as she confronted the challenges of her disease. In particular, thanks to the staff of Meadowood, and especially to her loving, caring, devoted caregivers for the last several years, Maureen Thompson and Suzette Morgan.

A service will be held at Meadowood November 13th at 11:00 in the Auditorium. Family and friends will gather later in Jefferson, NY for the interment of her ashes. Memorials can be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
