Susan L (Langhoff) Barbella

Susan A. (Langhoff) Barbella of Blue Bell, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 7, 2018. She was 84 years old. Born in Milwaukee, WI on February 9, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Irvin and Mary (Fitzgerald) Langhoff. Sue led a wonderful life, active with her church and community, teaching catechism and volunteering for many organizations. Her proudest volunteer moments were spent working with a Prison Ministry, teaching inmates to read and write. She thrived on this work and continued to talk about it long after she retired. Sue loved her family and cherished the time when they were together. She was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying softball, basketball and field hockey. Her most favorite, though, was tennis. Along with her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe, who passed away in 2003. Sue is survived by eight children: Marti Price; Mike Barbella (Kate), Steve Barbella (Mary Ellen); Ellen, Sara Upthegrove (Jerry); John Barbella (Suzanne), Drew Barbella (Holly), Beth Maloney (Tim); twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and her siblings, Steve Langhoff, Sally Hickey and Elizabeth Herlihy. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 12th at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am.
